Just today I was at the movies and a lady bumped into me
I turned around to say sorry ,being the generous man I am, she saw me and I could see a cloaked grin on her face.
A few seconds later I heard her laughing outloud to her boyfriend “thats the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen”
After a while incidents like that take there toll on your ego.
When you get reactions like that you can make light of the situation by making a joke. I’ve had my nose broken a few times and used to have bad acne around your age and people used to say similar things to me. If you just brush it off, laugh, and forget it about it, you can move on and people will see that you don’t give a shit what they say. Plus the older you get, peers are less likely to waste their energy talking shit. It will get easier. Trust me.
I get where your coming from and I understand that you were only trying to help people so I apologize for being kinda belligerent.
But you still have it backwards.
The reason why I started losing confidence was because reactions I’ve gotten.
I was just as confident as I was before but less girls talked to me so that’s what made me doubt myself.
A couple of people have seen me then seen my brother and sister and actually said outloud without meaning too “what happened to YOU?”
Changing your outer appearance is fine. Yet doing something so extreme and expensive as this is ridiculous. But, to each their own.
“No one will find me attractive.” If you truly believe that, then it will be. It’s up to you. I understand how you feel, but 17 can be a real fucking awkward age. Confidence grows with age as well as acceptance of yourself.
